Fashion Icon: Jennifer Hawkins

Tall, blonde and beautiful, three words that only just brush the surface of who Australian beauty Jennifer Hawkins really is. Jennifer Hawkins is famously known for winning the 2004 Miss Universe competition, but since then has gone on to become the face of Lovable Australia lingerie, Lux and Australian Cover girl makeup. Jen has also appeared on many televisions shows including Dancing with the Stars, Getaway and Make me a Supermodel. Jennifer has become a fashion icon, modeling for Australian and international designers. Jennifer walks the runway and the red carpet with grace and style and this is why I believe Jennifer Hawkins is a fashion icon.

Crush of the Moment: Zoe Hart

I love Spring in Australia, not only because of the weather and the cute clothes, but because all the fresh new American shows are released.

I’m currently loving Rachel Bilson in her new show Hart of Dixie. It does take a little while to adjust to her being an adult and a doctor considering I’m so used to seeing her as Summer Roberts, but she’s still just as lovable.

Basically she plays Zoe Hart, a New York doctor who ends up in a little Alabama town called Bluebell after she loses out on the cardiothoracic surgery fellowship she’s been working towards her whole life. Obviously hilarity and hijinks ensue.

So far, Zoe has worn some amazing outfits as well. I don’t know if they’re exactly appropriate for a small country town, but they look amazing! I’m hoping she doesn’t aclimatise too well fashion-wise later in the season.

This is the outfit she wears on the bus into Bluebell (and considering her mother turns up in a limo later on, I’m wondering why she didn’t just hire a car or something, but anyway). It’s a cute little shorts suit ensemble that is totally adorable and totally inappropriate at the same time, but I love it.

The other amazing outfit she wears is this peg-leg trouser, stripe tee combo (the girl really knows how to work her basic tees). I’m personally in love with her medical bag. So old-school, so chic. I’m wondering if it’s something she bought with her or picked up in Bluebell?

The giant black guy is the Mayor of Bluebell (yep, black mayor in Alabama = awesomeness). He’s also a fictitious ex-football star and constantly refers to himself in the third person (so far it’s adorable, but it could get annoying).

So that’s Hart of Dixie. If you haven’t seen it I strongly suggest giving it a look. It definitely has promise.

Steal Her Style: Emma Watson

Although I love all of Emma’s red carpet looks, I thought all those of us who rarely get to dress to the nines might appreciate a casual outfit a little bit more.

I find celebrity airport outfits the most interesting. They offer the perfect mix of comfort / I-might-get-caught-by-the-paparazzi high style.

Emma’s jeans, tee and blazer combo is perfect for everyday. Add killer heels and it will see you through a weeknight date with the girls too. Of course I’ve changed the tracksuit pants to jeans. Add an iron-on Griffindor badge to your blazer for a little whimsy.

This look is perfect for any day time occasion throughout spring.

A Royal fashion show.

I don’t know about you, but I cannot get enough of Kate Middleton.  The Duchess of Cambridge brings elegance, sexiness and flare to every outfit she puts on. And while she has been visiting Canada and The United States it has been a fashion show every day.

Kate managers to dress for her age and her role, something that can be very hard to do. Here are just a few looks from the Duke and Duchess’ Royal tour.

This is my favourite dress. A perfect summer dress for Kate’s arrival in California. A soft silk crepe dress by Jenny Packham.

Kate paired this with a pair of nude L.K Bennet pumps and a gold clutch from L.K Bennet.

Perfect for a night out at dinner. Kate wears a Roksanda Ilincic dove grey peridot wool crepe dress with LK Bennet gold clutch and nude pumps.

More of a casual look but equally as elegant. Kate wears J Brand mid-rise skinny pant in navy lux twill, Smythe one button blazer, Malene Birger drambor ruffle blouse, Pied A Terre wedge shoe and Linda Camm beaded belt.

As her fashion style evolves I am sure there will be many more blogs about Kate’s style. Love her!
